Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy is often misunderstood, perhaps because there are so many different approaches, so many different practitioners; it can seem overwhelming and we might not know how to make the best use of the process.

Psychotherapy utilizes relationship and collaboration--between the client and the psychotherapist--to craft new solutions to personal problems. Talking is the modality by which the problems are identified, and then addressed. But the relationship, and the process of collaboration, are the important methods by which therapy takes place.

The areas I specialize in are:

  • Couples and Families

  • Career Choice and Transition

  • Anxiety and Depression

  • Trauma and PTSD

  • Life Stage Transitions

  • Relationship Concerns

  • Aging Concerns

  • Marriage, Divorce and Intimacy

  • Parenting

  • Creativity and artistic challenges
